Topic: Current Trends in Corporate Fraud and How to Protect Your Company

We are excited to have Mic Cooney and Beth Nicholson from National City Bank for our fraud presentation.

Mic Cooney is a Vice President of National City Bank.  In this role, Mr. Cooney has responsibility for National City’s Global Treasury Management groups in Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, and Dayton.

Mr. Cooney has over 19 years banking experience.  Prior to joining National City, Mr. Cooney worked at Fifth Third Bank where he served as manager of the Treasury Management and Public Funds groups.  His bank experience includes Treasury Management Sales, Commercial Lending, and Operations Manager of Check Processing and Research and Adjustments.  He assisted Bank Protection in many cases involving check and electronic fraud as the point person for all Commercial (business) fraud in Northern Kentucky for ten years.

Bethany (Beth) L. Nicholson, CTP is a Vice President with National City’s Global Treasury Management Department.  Beth has responsibility for sales of Treasury Management products and services in the Cincinnati market, where she supports Middle Market, Large Corporate, and Specialty Lending customers and prospects.  Her product offerings include those utilized to try to mitigate fraud risk.

Beth joined National City in January of 2005.  She has over 8 years experience in Treasury Management, including Operations, Implementation, and Product Development & Product Management.  Most recently Beth served as Assistant Vice President at Fifth Third Bancorp, and was responsible for sales of International Treasury Management products and services to prospects located throughout Ohio and Kentucky.
