Kick off the holiday season by doing what you’ve always wanted to do - just have dessert! While you are enjoying your treat, hear the latest on career planning from Julie Bauke of Lee Hecht Harrison. Julie will assess the current job market for financial professionals and address smart career management, including the importance of building your network. She will also explain how the job market has changed and how your approach to managing your career has to change as well.
As Vice President, Director of Professional Services, Julie manages the consulting team in Lee Hecht Harrison’s Cincinnati office and coaches senior level clients through their career transitions and the management of their careers. She joined the firm in the capacity of Consultant in 1997 and has held her current position since September, 2000.
In addition, she spearheads programs in Career Development, Change Management, and Developing Personal Resilience.
She also works with professional athletes as they consider their post-sports career options.
Upcoming Activities
· January 18th, Economic Update presented by David Winterle, JPMorgan. Location: Wingate. Get the latest economic news and find out what to expect from the new Fed Chairman. This broad topic touches a lot of disciplines, so we encourage you to bring a guest. At only $35 per guest, it’s a great value!
Of Note
· For those who missed the announcement at the November meeting, SWOAFP (for the first time ever) will grant two $500 scholarships this coming year to college students going into their Senior year or individuals pursuing an MBA. Applications will go out early next year to Dayton and Cincinnati area schools. The applications will be reviewed by members of the SWOAFP Board and the scholarships will be awarded at the May meeting.
