About SWOAFP

We had a good turnout at our first meeting of the season with  Mike Gallanis from Treasury Strategies presenting “Treasury Outsourcing- A Strategic Transition”.  Mr. Gallanis provided insights into the trend towards outsourcing and the areas in which outsourcing may make sense within the treasury organization.

Upcoming October Meeting

On October 16th, we continue our strong slate of speakers and topics with Sandy Saxer from PNC presenting “Working Capital Management”, a topic that has peaked a number of treasury professionals interest given the current economic environment.  This meeting will be held at the Academy of Medicine.  More information is available in the Calendar section.

“Reel In” Membership Drive

At our September meeting, we announced our “Reel In” Fall Membership Drive.  We hope to expand our membership base in 2003 and ask our current members to help us spread the word.  For your effort, if you refer a *qualified referral to become a member of the SWOAFP, you will receive tickets for two and refreshments to the movies (National Amusements).   You can  direct interested parties to Rob Brooks, Membership Chair, or Sarah Burton, President, for more information on the SWOAFP.  Or direct them to this website for the membership application and association details.

December 6th Holiday Meeting – A Must See Meeting

Also, please mark your calendars for our December 6th meeting on Business Etiquette with Ann Marie Sabath, a noted author and expert in the business etiquette field.  The meeting will start with a session before dinner on “10 Key Ways For Gaining That Edge In Today’s Workplace “.  The program includes topics from the art of mingling to how to make a powerful first impression.  Then, at dinner Ann Marie will lead us through “The Art Of Conducting Business During Meals”.   It should be very entertaining and useful at the same time.  As in the past, we encourage you to bring you to spouse/significant other and/or other colleagues to this meeting.
