The SWOAFP will be visiting the Freestore Foodbank distribution center where Tim Weidner, CFO will speak about the economic downturn and how it has affected the organization. Mr. Weidner will also discuss how the Freestore has transformed from a grassroots organization to a high performing not-for-profit company.
After Mr. Weidner speaks, attendees will volunteer in the Freestore’s distribution center. SWOAFP members are encouraged to bring guests for free; however, all attendees are encouraged to bring a donation. Gifts of unused goods or monetary donations are accepted. Tim Weidner, VP and Chief Financial Officer since 2008, has been with the Freestore Foodbank for over 12 years. He previously served as the Freestore’s Financial Services Manager and Controller. Prior to joining the Freestore, Mr. Weidner spent six years at US Bank in Cincinnati and Mellon Bank in Pittsburgh. Mr. Weidner earned his undergraduate degree in business administration from Goshen College and his MBA from Xavier University.
